Hey everyone, welcome to the first episode of Capsule Conversations! In this episode, I'll be sharing a bit about who I am, why I started making content, and what I do. I'll also discuss how Dragon Ball has influenced me personally and as a content creator. Plus, I'll dive deep into why Dragon Ball often receives so much unwarranted hate. Be sure to watch the whole video, leave a comment with your favorite part and your thoughts, and don't forget to subscribe to my website for updates. Thanks for watching, and I look forward to seeing you in the next episode!
Dragon Ball has to be the most influential anime in existence. To most people in the West that have no idea what anime is, they have seen Goku before somewhere. There are even western cartoons that reference it like Kids Next Door and other video games series like Sonic the Hedgehog. I don't understand where the hate comes from honestly. Toriyama mentioned a couple of times that power levels didn't mean anything and that was the whole idea of introducing it in the first place, it was to highlight the fact that Goku breaks the scale Everytime which is why we love him. I must say that I am not a fan of DB supers illustration quality, it lacks raw intensity and details to quality that DBZ has but I also understand why and the story carried it for me anyway. Also if you have a problem with the fan base but you love the content and it's not offensive and damaging people in anyway, the problem is not the content. But yeah, I'm a new follower and I really respect your hustle and drive that brought you to this point. It's amazing how Dragon Ball cam change the lives of people and motivate them to activate the greatness and potential that lies dormant within themselves (Like my favorite DB character Gohan lol). Also have you checked out some fan work thats been around? Some there's some amazing ideas that fans have brought to the table that can really broaden the life span of Dragon Ball. Like Dragon Ball Sai: a manga done by a doujinshi under the name dragongarow Lee about a "what if" scenario of Goku and Vegeta switching places. I would love to watch this as an anime also the illustration is the chef's kiss. I can't wait to the next episode. 😊🐉
Regardless of whether you’re a fan or not you can’t deny what it has done for anime as an art form. Anime fans who don’t understand that are the people who hate on it. Without Dragon Ball, anime wouldn’t be as socially acceptable as it is now. I’ve seen it unify mutually exclusive lifestyles through my life as a fan from the 90s. From the suburbs to the ghettos, to the middle class to the trailer parks, to the incarcerated to the homeless. Dragon Ball will always be #1.
