Gohan's Beast Transformation: Rising Above Goku and Vegeta?

It’s no secret that Dragonball fans have been waiting for a long time to see the son of Goku finally have a form that puts him in the big leagues again. But, Recent developments in the Dragon Ball universe have stirred the fan community with the introduction of Gohan's new transformation, the Beast Form.

Akira Toriyama, the creator of the series, has long hinted at Gohan's latent potential surpassing other characters, including Goku and Vegeta. Toriyama’ s shocking quote stating “Gohan is actually stronger than anyone...or so it's said, but lately, he hasn't really gotten a chance to shine," has had fans speculating that Gohan is indeed the strongest.

Let's analyze Gohan's character and discuss how he might potentially be the strongest Z fighter.

Gohan's Latent Potential

Historically, Gohan has been depicted with immense latent powers, often surpassing expectations in critical moments. According to Toriyama, Gohan possesses a unique potential that, if fully unleashed, could make him the strongest of all saiyans. That’s not a position that is new to Gohan as he has had many moments where his emotions have put him at the top.

The Beast Form

Gohan's Beast Form is a significant development, showcasing his unique power and potential. It’s a form no fans expected him to unleash against the mighty Cell Max but it was a sight to see. The red eyes with long silver hair and the intense power boost made him a strong opponent to go against. This form is different from the transformations achieved by Goku and Vegeta, indicating a distinct path of power progression for Gohan.

Comparison with Goku and Vegeta

Goku and Vegeta have reached remarkable levels of power through transformations like Ultra ego and Ultra Instinct. The two Saiyans’s have reached god-like states and still continue to break their limit of power with their masters Whis and Beerus. But the true question here is how can a half saiyan have the capability to surpass Goku and Vegeta’s years of work? Well, you have to directly look at Gohan’s writing as a character and understand that he has an almost predestined right to be the strongest saiyan.

Gohan's Beast Form, as per fan theories and Toriyama's hints, could potentially surpass the levels Goku and Vegeta have achieved, tapping into a deeper, primal source of Saiyan strength. There’s also a theory that the Beast form could possibly be linked to that of the Kai’s but that’s a deep dive for another day.

The Role of Training and Mentality

Unlike Goku and Vegeta, who have relentlessly pursued strength, Gohan's approach to power is different, focusing more on necessity and protection. He uses his emotions to gain a massive amount of power that has made him one of the strongest warriors in the Z team line up. The only issue with Gohan being the strongest is that he doesn’t train as often or as hard as his father and Vegeta so it makes fans believe have somewhat of plot armor.

It's generally assumed that Gohan will appear when needed, but he must improve in maintaining consistent training to remain one of Earth's mightiest defenders.

Conclusion

Whether Gohan's Beast Form truly surpasses Goku and Vegeta remains a subject of speculation even with Toriyama’s vague statement and excitement among fans. Akira Toriyama's storytelling has always been dynamic, and this development could be another twist in the ever-evolving power landscape of the Dragon Ball universe

As "Dragon Ball" continues to evolve, Gohan's role and power are likely to be key elements in upcoming story arcs. The potential of Gohan's Beast Form has rekindled interest in his character, promising exciting developments for the future of the series
