Majin Kuu’s Unexpected Debut in Dragon Ball Daima Episode 9
A Strange New Majin Leaves Fans Both Intrigued and Uncertain
The Big Reveal
So, we finally got our look at Majin Kuu in Episode 9 of Dragon Ball Daima, and honestly, I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. Out of nowhere, this new character shows up—a bizarre Majin born from a leftover piece of Majin Buu and one of those little Saibaman. We’ve seen our fair share of odd-looking fighters in the Dragon Ball universe, but this one is definitely unique. The moment he appeared on-screen, I couldn’t help but lean forward, trying to figure out who, or what, I was looking at.
The Strange, Golden Design
Visually, Majin Kuu is hard to ignore. Picture a Saibaman, but bathed in a shimmering gold hue that makes him look almost metallic under the pinkish sky. He’s roughly the same size as the classic green Saibamen we know—those grunt-like creatures that used to pop out of the ground and shriek their way into the Z-Fighters’ nightmares—but he’s different in some subtle ways. Something about his face structure reminds me of Pikkon’s intense stare, and the weird contours of his torso hint at Monaka’s strange physique. And let’s not forget the big “M” on his belt, just to remind everyone he’s got that Majin DNA lurking inside. It’s a mash-up that feels both familiar and alien, like a collage of old villains patched together into something new.
Mixed Vibes from the Saibamen (and Us Fans)
Even the regular Saibamen in the episode looked a bit freaked out by him, and who can blame them? This guy looks like them, but also… not. You’d think they’d be excited to see one of their own hit the jackpot in terms of power and status, but the vibe I got was more confusion than celebration. As for the fandom, I’m seeing a similar split. Some people are loving the callbacks to past characters, saying it’s a cool homage. Others, though, are disappointed—it’s like they expected a completely wild new Majin form and instead got something that feels like a fancy recolor and a few borrowed features. I get it. After all the hype, a “golden Saibaman with a Majin twist” might seem like a missed opportunity.
Arinsu’s Grand Plan
But the story implications are what really caught my attention. Apparently, Arinsu is the mastermind behind Majin Kuu’s creation, and he’s not just messing around. The rumors floating around in the episode suggest that Arinsu wants to use this brand-new Majin to topple Demon King Gomah. Talk about raising the stakes! If Majin Kuu has what it takes to stand up to someone like Gomah, then this character isn’t just a strange experiment—he could be the key to shifting the entire power dynamic in Daima. I’m dying to know if he actually can stand toe-to-toe with Gomah. Is he as strong as he looks, or is this just a big bluff?
Potential for Growth and Surprises
The big question now is: where does Majin Kuu go from here? He’s fresh out of the proverbial lab, and we don’t really know his personality or limits yet. Will he become some unstoppable warrior, a perfect blend of Majin regeneration and Saibaman cunning? Or will he develop his own quirks and fighting style, maybe even surprising Arinsu with a will of his own? There are so many ways the writers could take this, and that’s what has me hooked. He might turn out to be a powerhouse, or maybe he’ll have hidden weaknesses that make him more complex than just another villain.
Why Fans Are So Divided
I think the mixed reactions from the fan community come down to expectations. Everyone loves the Majin aesthetic because it’s weird, powerful, and iconic. So when we hear a “new Majin is coming,” we brace ourselves for something groundbreaking. Instead, we got a character that looks like a golden Saibaman with a few nods to other fighters. For some viewers, that’s interesting enough. For others, it feels too safe. Personally, I’m on the fence—I’m intrigued by the idea that he’s not just a random new creature, but a puzzle made up of pieces we recognize. Maybe the payoff will be in his personality and story arc, not just his appearance.
Looking Ahead
I’m guessing we’ll see more official art and maybe some character breakdowns from the creators soon. When that happens, maybe we’ll learn more about why they chose this design or what they intended by mixing these different elements. Until then, I’m left with a lot of questions: How did Arinsu even get a chunk of Majin Buu’s essence? Is there some deeper reason behind the Saibaman connection? And can Majin Kuu really challenge Gomah, or is this just one big gamble?
Majin Kuu’s debut might not have been the jaw-dropping reveal some of us were hoping for, but it’s definitely shaking things up in the Dragon Ball Daima world. Between the hybrid design, the political tension with Demon King Gomah, and Arinsu’s mysterious motives, there’s plenty to chew on in the coming episodes. I’m still holding out hope that this strange new creation can surprise us, either by showing off incredible strength or revealing layers of character that we can’t see yet. For now, Majin Kuu stands as one of those intriguing new additions that you’re not quite sure how to feel about—yet you can’t wait to see what happens next.
I like the new majin look he looks like one of the shadow dragons from dragon Ball GT they're giving us a throwback to dragon Ball z making him look like one of the Saibamen but also keeping it fresh by making him have the same color as golden Frieza so I'm looking forward to seeing how strong he is and what kind of techniques he has and also if he has his own motivations because now he's intelligent
